How To Do It At Home
If you have trouble with rough and thick skin on your feet, there are some steps you can take to make them soft and tidy again. One of those is a paraffin tretment, which has many cosmetic and therapeutic benefits.
Before starting with any of these, if you noticed any discoloration in your nails, you should probably get fungal nail treatment, and deal with that first. As far as the paraffin treatment goes, you can do it at the salon or you can do it at home. If you opt for a DIY solution, you need paraffin wax, a boiler, mineral oil, a sealable plastic bag, tissues, and a moisturizer. The first step is melting the wax in a boiler, which you can put over your stove.
You should add a bit of oil to the wax to make it more nourishing. Once you have melted it, you can pour it into the plastic bag you’ve prepared. Once it’s cooled a bit, you can use it. You should simply dip your feet into it, and wait a few minutes until a top layer has formed. When the wax loses its shine, it means that it’s dry enough and that you can apply a second layer. You do this until you reach 10 layers, and then you pack your feet in a wrap and hold them like that for 15 to 20 minutes. This is why it is a good idea to get a fungal nail treatment before doing any of this, so you don’t risk something else happening.
One of the best treatments you can do at home to treat your feet is paraffin treatment. It will make your feet soft, and it will regenerate all the cracked and thick skin you have.
